Legacy 2006 Evergreen Chardonnay, Washington State
Chardonnay is the most widely variety in the United States. It's also number one in acreage in Washington State, barely edging our Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
While many New World renditions are fat, rich, buttery and unctuous, Washington State Chardonnays tend to be crisp, structured, steely and refreshing.
For added complexity, our 2006 Evergreen Chardonnay was barrel fermented in four different types of oak. Extended lees contact added to the wine's rich mouthfeel and creaminess. Underneath the well-tempered opulence is the hallmark brisk acidity and minerality found in all of our wines. The aromas are bright and tropical; the finish is clean and harmonious.
