Wine 201: Australia & New Zealand
Thursday, April 8 6pm
Australia and its neighbor (relatively speaking), New Zealand, took the wine world by storm during the last two decades. Their glory days seem to be flickering out, however it’s important to continue to look towards these nations for delicious wines and excellent values, as well as forward-thinking techniques in the world of viticulture. We’ll try wines from around these countries, talk about the styles & grapes that are important to these countries, as well as some interesting marketing strategies. We’ll also have some fun and delicious food to go with these tasty wines.

Call 509.788.0030 to reserve your place. $30 per person ($25 for club members). Space is limited.

Spring Barrel Tasting
Friday-Sunday, April 23-25 10am-5pm
Spring Barrel tasting is your chance to get a jump on tasting and purchasing some of the best wines in wine country. A visit to the Valley on this weekend will allow you to sample yet-unfinished wines from the barrel.

Barrel tasting allows tasters a sneak preview of upcoming vintages from their favorite wineries. This special weekend in the Yakima Valley features winemakers and cellar staff who are on hand to share insights and answer questions on the winemaking process. Here at Milbrandt, we're blending up some fabulous barrel samples to share with you! And back by popular demand, we'll be featuring acoustic guitarists Blue Mountain Spanish Sounds on Saturday from 2-5pm. Please join us and relax out on the patio!

Upgrade your Yakima Valley wine tasting experience with a Wine Yakima Valley Premiere pass. Passes are $30.00 on-line or $35.00 at the door. On-line Pass sales will begin February 1, 2010 and be discontinued April 21, 2010. Passes are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another Wine Yakima Valley event. Your purchase of a Premiere Pass (wristband) includes a 15oz commemorative wineglass.
